It all started with a trip to the Cycle Show and a test ride of the Hummingbird. And then, a call from a friend who just happens to work at the same famous establishment where the Hummingbird is built. Then, James tried the Hummingbird and bought the Electric Gen 1.0 – he loves it!
Enter the Hummingbird Electric Gen 2.0. What do you get for your hard-earned money? Well, you get the same as before – a carbon bike that folds, only weighing in at 10.3 kg, it rider beautifully and is built by the same people who make carbon fibre racing cars – think Aston Martin! The frame is tested with a repeated 70kg weight dropped from a height – it’s light and rock hard! Think Barry McGuigan. The Gen 2.0 is designed for those who dress with the destination in mind – the commuter who doesn’t want to get all hot and sweaty and at the same time, they don’t want to fight and struggle with a heavier machine.
The new version means a hub that generates to 50% more torque and 20% more range.

What does this mean to you – well, faster starts, you can travel further getting electric assistance and you can skip up those steeper hills more easily and faster.
