Evans Cycles, the UK’s leading specialist bike shop, has today announced the launch of its brand new Pinnacle shoe range. Comprising road, MTB and lifestyle options for just £50 a pair, riders can now enjoy performance focussed design at an affordable price.
Whether you’re clipping into your road or mountain bike, or simply looking for a pair of flats that are as comfortable on the bike as they are off, footwear remains one of the most important pieces of cycling apparel. Offering comfort, stability and style, Evans Cycles’ new Pinnacle shoes range offers outstanding value for money.
Bringing every day comfort and performance to any ride, riders can dial in their cycling with the Pinnacle Radium Road Cycling Shoes. Using a minimalist and sleek design, the Radium provides a secure and personalised fit courtesy of the single velcro strap and simple to use Turn Lock Fastening system. Inside the shoe there is a soft padded collar and non-slip heel to keep it securely in place when users crank up the power.
Across the upper and synthetic, microfibre material allows for plenty of breathability to help keep your feet cool as the action heats up. Finished off with a nylon outsole, there’s enough stiffness for those town-sign sprints but without compromising on comfort. What’s more, with a men’s half pair (size 8) weighing in at just 306g, and a ladies half pair (size 5) at 255g, they’re as at home on inclines as they are on the flat.
Designed specifically for those that enjoy riding the path less travelled, Evans Cycles have also unveiled the new Pinnacle Maple Mountain Bike Shoes. Professional looking and robust in design, trail hunters are treated to a secure and snug fit courtesy of three velcro fastenings. Inside the Pinnacle Maple there’s a soft padded collar and non-slip heel to keep feet securely in place while riding over bumpy terrain, while the heel loop offers a neat finishing touch.
A feature some riders may not notice straight away, but is always welcome, is the inclusion of a reinforced toe box. These help protect toes from rocky knocks which are inevitable on most MTB excursions.
Knowing that what goes down has to go up, the nylon sole offers enough stiffness for riders to power up the steep inclines without compromising on comfort. A raised tread around the sole encircles the cleat recess, while there’s the option of adding studs beneath the toes to aid those really muddy days on the trails.Like the Radium, the Maple shoes come with a microfiber upper, mesh tongue and nylon outsole.
Brand new to the range for 2021 are the Pinnacle Cedar Cycling Shoes – designed purposefully for everyday use both on and off the bike. Slip your foot inside and it’s treated to a padded collar and tongue for enhanced comfort, while the non-slip heel and heel loop add extra stability. There’s even an abrasion panel wrapped around the toes to protect the shoes from all those inevitable scuffs and marks.
Off the bike and the Cedars are equally suited to everyday life on foot and make for a practical pair of casual lace-ups. A mesh tongue and microfibre upper over the toes help keep your feet feeling fresh and cool, nestled in the security of a phylon and rubber outsole.
The new Pinnacle shoe range are available in mens and ladies variants, and are available to purchase now for £50 a pair online and in Evans Cycles stores.
