We recently received a test model of the very new Gron folding eBike from the co-owner/designer, Chris.
Born out of a desire to create a passion product that benefits society, the British duo behind the bike, have delivered a Brompton alternative.
The Gron features a carbon fibre frame, Shimano 5-speed electronic gears and 9 ‘normal’ gears. An interchangeable battery and it even fits Dave, our test pilot – who measures 1.98 metres tall!
The bike comes with disc brakes, internal cables, mudguards and rack all as standard and will retail for circa £2,000.
In order to help to do some good for the planet, Gron will plant a tree in a Swedish forest for every bike purchased.
We continue to test the bike and this an initial heads up for our readers/viewers. We will record a YouTube video and also a detailed written review here.
Initial thoughts – friend of the channel/page is Adam, a Rolls Royce engineer and motorcycle restorer and racer. He gave it a big thumbs up after giving the Gron a onceover. https://gron.uk/
